Indecisive

I admit it - we're horribly indecisive. Both of us. Which often turns easy everyday choices - like what to eat for dinner, what to watch, or what to do on a weekend night - into long and agonizing decisions. In fact, it can sometimes take us a couple hours just to make a decision.

And this indecisiveness also applies to my toss pillow mania.

On our most recent trip to Target, I spent no less than 30 minutes in the pillow aisle.

I wish I was joking.

Poor Tom (who endures any kind of shopping like it's painful torture) went about the whole store gathering the very necessary items on our shopping list - while I stood in the pillow aisle trying to make a decision.

In the end, I came home with all the pillows I was agonizing over.

Thank goodness Target has a good return policy!

After some trial and error, I came up with this arrangement.

However, I still can't make a decision on one type of pillow.

See these gray rectangular fluffy ruffly pillows? Should they stay or they go?

What do you think?

  1. I'm not sure about the fluffy one, but I love all the others!

So funny, I can totally relate to the indecisiveness. On Valentine's Day I told Randy to pick a restaurant and surprise me, not because I wanted a surprise, but just to avoid the whole ordeal of us picking where to eat. And would definitely agree with Tom that shopping = torture.

  2. I still have a crush on those couches.

As for the pillows, I think the fluffy one will be fighting with Barley for attention, but I LOVE the lighter gray one. Maybe something in gray with just a hint of yellow as an homage to the new rug?

Wait, I'M giving color advice, ignore what I said.

  3. Why only have one type of pillow? I honestly like all of them. I just bought the same ruffle one in brown for our bed. The new sofas and rug look awesome. We're undergoing a similar project and it feels so great to see things start coming together.

  4. I agree with both Cosmo and Sunny. One type of pillow isn't fun, and I like that you mixed up the textures. And I vote for more color. Yellow or not, you've got neutrals everywhere except the floor. Why not grab one colorful pillow and paint the lamp base on that side table a bright color to match?

  5. I like all of your pillows, but I agree with Sunny about adding adding something with a little bit of yellow. Whatever way you decide to go, I think they all look great with the white couches! Love those couches!!

  6. That happens to me all the time (especially in Target)! I just get frustrated and end up buying everything I've been debating over so I can decide later.

I like that the ruffly one adds some interesting texture and contrasts with the couch. All good choices though; I can see why the decision was so hard!

  7. Thanks for all the great advice! I'll post soon with what I finally ended up keeping, and what got thrown back in the bag to be returned to Tarjay!
