So, without further ado, I present to you some Before and Current shots of the Dining Area:
Dining Area Before:

Dining Area Now:
Ah, isn't that just like a breath of fresh air? And there's even the pretty roses I recieved from Tom for Valentine's Day sitting there in the spotlight.
Of course, if you look closer you'll see we still need to put down baseboards and quarter round, put up some art on the wall behind the table, and maybe even paint/reupholster the dining table set.
Perhaps we'll get to some of that this weekend... or maybe not.
Anyways, Happy Friday and have a fabulous weekend!
The link you entered on VOTW isn't working!!! I want to make sure it shows up, so can you try once more?! Love the updates too, btw :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so weird! I guess I didn't copy the whole link the first time. Odd.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, though! :)
Wow! Quite the difference. It looks great! = ) I'm happy to have found your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks Caroline! And thanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteGreat before and after transformation, the space looks so much more open and spacious and welcoming!

what a difference the flooring makes!
ReplyDeleteif you're considering spiffing up the dining set, how about chair covers? all of the fabric might make the space feel warmer, no?

p.s. BEAUTIFUL flowers!
Wow, what a transformation! The floors are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the wonderful comments! We are certainly enjoying our much-improved new dining space (and have already had quite a few lovely dinners in it). :)
ReplyDeleteKelly - I LOVE that idea! I certainly agree that the fabric would make the space feel much warmer. Now I've got another possible project to add to the list... is it hard to DIY chair covers? Hmmm...
We upholstered our dining room chairs with that same fabric over 3 years ago. I actually still love how it looks with our chocolate-stained wood pedestal table and chairs.
ReplyDeleteThat dining room makeover looks great! Soooo glad you ripped up that carpet! :)
