Happy Turkey Day.

We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. From the simple joys of everyday life to the big stuff (like buying a house), from our close family to our extended relatives and friends, and from the day we first met to the life we've built together, we are truly grateful and blessed for everything that God has given us in this life.

We are also thankful that we got to eat lots of good food today! We starved ourselves all morning (and slaved away on our "duty dish" this year) just so we had lots of room to stuff ourselves later today. I must admit, cooking and baking in a kitchen that looks like ours currently does (aka, a construction zone!) is pretty interesting. Since the demo started (a month ago now...), we've mostly eaten out or just made simple things like frozen pizza or sandwiches, so it's real interesting to be baking a homemade dish in our kitchen! Ah well, as our puppy Barley knows too well, a little drywall dust never hurt anyone!
