This past weekend Tom reinstalled the toilet, and installed the new vanity, sink, light, and mirror (and I found the sweet shower curtain at Target).
So far - we LOVE it! It's still not finished yet, but it's getting there. Our favorite change is the new vanity - while slightly wider than our old nasty white one (only by an inch or two), it's much shallower and doesn't stick out as much, which helps to open up the room and actually make the space feel larger! I tell ya, it's a win-win.
We've still got some things left to do in here:
- Install quarter round
- Install new door
- Art/accessories
- Towel ring
- Organize storage
Perhaps we'll be able to tackle some of that this upcoming weekend. For now, this pregnant lady is just happy not to have to run downstairs to use the restroom anymore! (although the missing door does make it a wee bit awkward, it's nothing a little "honey, I'm peeing!" can't fix for now!)
And now for a quick comparison to what the bathroom looked like about a month ago:
What do you think of our progress so far?

Oooh, I LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeletecool redo. Are you going to use the glass shelvingi n the new bath?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful change! I love the beadboard you used instead of tile and the contrast of the vanity/mirror is perfect. Good job, guys!
ReplyDeleteNancyO - We're planning to use a glass shelf under the mirror instead of where they were previously (above the toilet, where they would get in the way of a storage cabinet door). We might re-use the old glass shelves somewhere else in the house, though - we'll see!
