Who doesn't love Friday? Especially when you get something for free? Freebie Fridays is a series on This Fresh Fossil in which I unleash a bit of my extra-creativity: for you. I'm a professional graphic designer who loves to design and wants to help you organize your life, have fun with your hobby, connect with friends and decorate your digs, by giving you a free design every Friday. Whether it's in the form of labels for organizing, cool artwork that you can print and frame, printable greeting cards, photographs, patterns, scrapbooking art, or more - every Friday there will be a custom free design for you.
I was feeling a little hip and modern, and wanted to make something spunky and fun for you guys this week. I thought about what the point of a simple greeting card really is - essentially to drop in and say hello to someone, in an alternative method to a phone call. Fun and simple, this is a card that definitely appeals to me - if I saw it in the store, I would probably scoop it right up because it definitely appeals to my inner graphic-designer. Bright colors, clean lines, and a simple message. I love it, and I hope you do, too!
To download click the link above, then right-click on the image and select "Save Picture As" and save it to your computer. Just download the file, then you can print it out, cut it up, fold it and pop it in an envelope for something extra special for someone. Or you can even make gift tags, use the design for scrapbooking, modge podge it onto something - the possibilities are endless! Oh, and best of all? It's free.
If you decide to make the card, it is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" and will fit inside a standard A2 (4 3/8 x 5-3/4") envelope, and I've included a dotted line along the white space (back flap) to make things a bit easier on ya when you're workin' those scissors.
